Jennie Schofield

Occupational Therapist — OTA The Koomar Center

Jennie Schofield is a registered and licensed occupational therapist in the state of Massachusetts. She earned her Master of Science in occupational therapy from Tufts University and her Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University, where she majored in fine arts and minored in psychology.  She holds a teaching certificate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is licensed in visual arts education for pre-K through 12th grade.  Jennie is an intake coordinator at OTA.  She has previously served as the test and protocols coordinator and a member of the beauty and order team, helping to maintain the safety and order of the clinic. She has completed the Spiral Foundation’s Program of Essential Competencies in Sensory Integration, allowing her to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT).  Jennie has experience working with children and adults with a broad range of diagnoses and abilities.  She believes deeply in the power of building trusting, collaborative relationships with her clients and their families as the foundation for therapeutic gains and has a playful and empathetic approach.  She strives to empower her clients and tailors therapy to meet their individual needs so they can participate more fully in their daily lives. She has a special interest in child-parent relationships, mental health, and trauma and attachment related challenges.
