Melanie Salort

Occupational Therapist — OTA The Koomar Center

Melanie Salort is a licensed and registered occupational therapist, who earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy at Quinnipiac University.  Melanie has over 15 years of experience specializing in the area of evaluating and treating individuals with sensory processing challenges.  She has completed the training in the Sensory Integration Praxis Test.  Additionally, she has expanded her clinical knowledge by completing trainings in various listening programs, oral motor and feeding approaches, visual vestibular integration, and manual therapies.  Melanie has had a special interest in supporting parents and the parent child relationship.  This interest led to her completing a two-year fellowship in Infant Parent Mental Health through UMASS Boston.

In addition to working with clients at the Koomar Center, Melanie actively mentors therapists and works as the intake coordinator and lead therapist for the occupational therapy team.
